Same-day factoring
Freight factoring companies: fast processing times, cut-offs, and why your advance still shows up tomorrow
Almost every factor advertises same-day pay. Whether you actually get it depends on a cut-off time, clean paperwork, an approved broker, the bank's calendar and whether it's your first invoice. Here's what factors publish about speed, a finder for the usual delays, and who controls each one.

CAUSE After the factor's daily cut-off, the invoice rolls to the next funding day.
FIX Learn your factor's cut-off time and upload before it, or ask whether it offers after-hours funding.
CAUSE Verification: the factor confirms the load delivered and the rate is right before advancing.
FIX Upload clean paperwork so the call is quick. A broker slow to verify is worth noting for next time.
CAUSE Unsigned or unreadable proof of delivery puts the invoice on hold.
FIX Get the receiver's signature, printed name and date. Photograph every page before leaving the dock.
CAUSE A rate, load number or accessorial that differs from the rate con triggers review.
FIX Copy the numbers from the rate con. Attach lumper and detention receipts to the invoice.
CAUSE The factor hasn't credit-approved that broker, or won't fund it.
FIX Check broker credit with your factor before you book the load.
CAUSE Account setup, NOAs and first broker checks take extra time.
FIX Finish setup before your first load; send NOAs early.
CAUSE Wires and ACH move on bank business days unless your factor has its own instant payment option.
FIX Plan fuel money ahead of long weekends, or ask about weekend funding.
CAUSE ACH often takes about a day to land; wires are usually same day.
FIX Ask your factor which method it used, and whether wire is available and what it costs.
Pick one or more to see causes and fixes.
Notice how many are in your hands. Same-day funding is mostly a paperwork habit: upload complete, matching documents before the cut-off, for a broker your factor already approved.
What factoring companies publish about speed
Each factor's own words, checked 2026-10. Read the conditions: "eligible invoices", "qualifying clients" and funding to the factor's own account first are common.
| Company | Speed claim (as stated) | Conditions mentioned |
|---|---|---|
| RTS Financial (our partner) | cash in 24 hours or less, with same-day pay after uploading invoices in the RTS app | Funding limits depend on your customers' credit |
| Apex Capital | Same-day and next-day funding; overnight and weekend funding through its digital payment system | For qualifying clients, for invoices after cut-off; its 24/7 page refers to a standard 3 PM CST paperwork cutoff |
| Triumph | Eligible invoices paid in minutes to its LoadPay account | Eligible invoices; moving money on to an outside bank can take longer |
| OTR Solutions | Paid within seconds of uploading an invoice, 24/7/365 | Not stated on the page we checked |

Weekend and holiday loads: how the bank calendar shifts funding
Traditional bank transfers move on bank business days. The Federal Reserve publishes the holidays when its payment services are closed, and a wire or ACH started on one of those days usually goes out the next business day. Deliver on a Friday afternoon before a Monday holiday, and a same-day promise can turn into Tuesday.
Some factors work around the calendar with their own instant payment systems, debit accounts or fuel cards that load on weekends. Those can be fast, but check where the money lands first and how long it takes to reach your own bank. Plan fuel money ahead of long weekends either way.
Why your first funding takes longer
Same-day pay is for invoices on an account that's already set up. Your first one usually isn't.
- 01
Account setup
Agreement signed, bank details verified, any old UCC filings released. A day or more on its own.
- 02
Broker credit checks
Each new broker gets checked before the factor will fund it. Ask before you book.
- 03
Notices of assignment
The NOA goes to each broker so payment comes to the factor. Some brokers take a while to update their remit-to.
- 04
First verification
The first call to a broker about your load can take longer than later ones.

Same-day factoring questions
Can I get paid the same day I deliver?
Often, if you upload complete, matching paperwork before your factor's cut-off, the broker is already approved, verification goes quickly and it's a bank business day. Miss any of those and the advance usually comes the next funding day. Some factors offer instant or after-hours options for qualifying clients.
What is a factoring cutoff time?
The time of day by which your invoice must be uploaded to be funded that day. Apex's 24/7 factoring page, for example, refers to a standard 3 PM CST paperwork cutoff. Ask your factor for its cut-off and whether it changes around holidays.
Is same-day factoring more expensive?
Sometimes. Some factors charge more for wires or instant transfers than for ACH, and a few price same-day funding separately. Others include it. Ask for the fee on each funding method and compare it with the cost of waiting a day.
Does same-day funding work on weekends?
With traditional bank transfers, usually not: banks move money on business days. Some factors fund on weekends through their own instant payment systems or fuel cards. Check where the money lands and how long it takes to reach your bank.
